Artwork for this year’s Secret Art Show was hung Tuesday morning in Union Station’s grand lobby so come on down and take a look.
Amazing stuff, really cool, some of it really fun, and all for sale this Friday.
Just to review: Doors open at 6 p.m. At 6:30 bidding starts. You pay $10 for a pencil and sign up for the art you want to buy. As many as 10 people can try to buy each piece of art.
At 7:30 the auction begins, with a blind drawing determining who gets to buy each piece. Cost per painting is $99, which is a bargain considering some of the artists contributing this year get hundreds, and thousands, for their work.
Some is just fun, like the coffin with a Pez dispenser inside. Some of really elegant. All is amazing.
The preview is open all week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Grand Lobby. Come down and look and be here Friday at 6 p.m. Music and refreshments included.
