The library and archives features thousands of photographs including the Russell Farr Collection.  We have photos of old Ogden, Railroads, Buildings, Streets etc.  There is also a library of several hundred books dealing with the Arts, Guns, Autos and Railroads.  Additionally there are blueprints, newspapers, old calendars and personal papers, scrapbooks and memorabilia which are available to the public.  We do not lend materials but our collections can be examined and selected copies made at nominal fees.  Many visitors seek out particular photographs for family research or to decorate their home or office. Open to the public.

We welcome donations of photos and other materials from individuals or family estates.

LINK TO STEPHEN HARRIS RAILROAD VIDEO COLLECTION  ON LEE WITTEN YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Stephen Harris was a Union Pacific engineer.  He operated between Salt Lake City and Milford Utah on the Salt Lake and Los Angeles route.  After Mr. Harris’ death, his widow donated 127 reels of super 8 film that he shot during the decade of the 1970’s and into the 1980’s.  Union Station was fortunate to receive a grant to have the films digitized.  Our archivist, Lee Witten, has been editing the films and producing YouTube videos.  Only a few of Harris’ films had sound so Mr. Witten added sound tracks of train sounds he derived from other films in our archives.
