Historic and theatrical the Browning Theater was the original mail room of Union Station. This room is private. with a large screen and stage. Adjacent to the Car Museum, Great for large weddings, receptions, trade shows, fairs, business meetings and parties. The Browning Kitchen is located in the hallway and is also available to rent for $150 or $25 for the walk-in fridge.

A wide expanse of windows overlook the west rails; forest green accented metal beam structure with stamped concrete tile flooring enhance the original postal platform of Union Station. Popular for wedding receptions up to 150, banquets up to 180 and meetings up to 200.

Located at the north entrance of Union Station the Breezeway is the foyer of the Theater Annex, Browning Theater and Car Museum. Available for rental when adjacent room is rented. Popular for evening weddings (after 5pm only , up to 120 guests) with reception in the Theater Annex or Browning Theater.

Spacious and spectacular the Grand Lobby is the heart of Union Station. Open to the public during business hours. Many weddings, receptions and banquets have taken place in this historic and beautiful lobby.

The Old Timer’s Room is located on the second floor with views of the Eccles Rail Center and the Railyards. Access is through a private entrance near Union Grill or by elevator from the North end of the building. A full kitchen is included. The perfect place for medium sized weddings & receptions, dances and meetings. Non alcohol events only.

Located on the second floor by the elevator. W ooden shuttered windows overlook mountains and city to the NorthEast. Kitchenette included. Wood floors and plush oriental rugs. Great for small meetings, intimate weddings & receptions. Non alcohol events only.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Hours 10am-5pm Monday - Saturday

for the museums, public spaces and gift shop. Room rentals are available 7:30am to 11:00pm, with cleanup completed by midnight. Closed Sundays and select holidays.

tables and chairs

Included in rental is set up and take down of Union Station tables and chairs. Tables available are 8’ long tables which seat 8 to 10 people and 5’ round tables which seat 8 people.

cleaning/damage deposit

All events are required to pay a refundable cleaning and damage deposit, OR complete and sign a Credit Card Form to cover unexpected cleanup or damage. Deposit is refundable within 2 weeks after the event when room(s) are in a clean and damage free condition. $150 for single room, $250 for single room serving food, $850 for single room serving food and alcohol.

decorating and rehearsals

By prior arrangement rooms are available as early as 10:00 am on the day of the event. Extra days to rehearse, decorate or remove decorations are billed at $25 per hour or 1 days rent whichever is less, subject to availability.

photography

Photography in public spaces is free. Please observe our closing times and plan accordingly. To photograph in one of our Museums purchase tickets in the Gift Shop for each person entering the Museums.

catering

UNION GRILL, the restaurant located here in Union Station provides excellent catering services, and will GIVE A 10% DISCOUNT ON THE ROOM RENTAL. Call Sara at 621-2830 . Parties serving alcohol must be catered. The alcohol must be catered by Union Grill.

alcohol

ALL EVENTS SERVING ALCOHOL ARE REQUIRED TO HIRE UNION GRILL RESTAURANT TO PROVIDE AND SERVE THE ALCOHOL. A RESTAURANT MUST ALSO BE HIRED TO CATER THE EVENT.

Alcohol can be consumed from 6:00pm to 10:00pm only. Guests are not allowed to bring in their own alcohol.

selling alcohol at public events

A Single Use Alcohol Event Permit from the State of Utah and a permit from Ogden City are required for events open to the public where alcohol is to be sold.
